SALES TECHNICIAN
If you have the perfect mix of sales, customer service, and technical skills, we are looking for you. We have SALES TECHNICIAN positions available. This position is primarily responsible for the overall management, business growth, and maintenance of our truck-stop facility including but not limited to:
• conducting on site repairs to electrical/mechanical equipment, requiring troubleshooting of electrical, HVAC, telephone and wireless communications systems;
• provide on-site selling, support, and service to customers for the purpose of growing and retaining the business, profitability, public and host relations, and customer satisfaction;
• maintain inventory control;
• may include staffing, training, performance management, and more.
Working Conditions:
• Requires lifting 40lbs (individually) and 80 lbs (with assistance), and walking, standing, bending and conducting business on a truck stop parking lot in all types of weather.
• Position requires working in a noisy environment with varying degrees of vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
• Requires being able to work at various heights on a scissor lift.
• May require working nights and weekends.
Experience and Education:
• At least 1 year management and/or maintenance experience.
• 1 year experience in maintenance and trouble-shooting electrical systems or equivalent specialized training strongly preferred.
• Knowledge in telecommunication, internet, wireless communications and HVAC preferred.
• Experience in sales and performance management (leading, managing, training, and motivating employees) desired.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prefer 2-year college degree; military, vocational, or trade school experience in a technical field with significant electrical troubleshooting; or equivalent related work experience.
• Some travel may be required.

SALES ASSOCIATE
If you like working in the transportation industry and possess excellent sales and customer service skills, IdleAir is looking for you. We have a SALES ASSOCIATE position available. This position includes the responsibility of selling our service to professional drivers, providing courteous customer service, and conducting equipment installations, cleaning, and preventative maintenance, and other duties as required.
Working Conditions:
• The position requires working outdoors in all types of weather with a flexible schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and some holidays depending on the assigned shift and location hours.
• Lifting 30+ lbs overhead, walking, standing, and bending while on a truck stop parking lot during the majority of the shift.
• The position requires working in a noisy environment with varying degrees of vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
• Qualifications/Experience/Education Include:
− Excellent customer service, parking lot management, and sales skills.
− Dependability, punctuality, and organizational skills.
− High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
− Possess computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
− Prior sales and service experience strongly preferred.
− Previous experience in the trucking industry a plus.
